What We Believe

What We Believe

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10

We are the Church of Christ.

The best way to describe ourselves is to simply say that we are Christians. We believe Jesus Christ is the son of God and that through Him any person can be right with our Creator. We recognize the greatest need a human being has is to be forgiven of his or her sins and share a close relationship with God. We are seeking to fill that need in our lives and encourage others to do the same.

We have no tie to any religious denomination or organization. We are an independent group of believers in Christ, seeking only to follow the truth we believe to be revealed in the Bible. We believe the New Testament contains a pattern of what Christ wants in His church. He is the head of the church and we simply are His followers (Ephesians 1:22-23).

The Plan of Salvation

Sin has separated man from God and God, by His abundant grace, has prescribed a way for man to be reconciled with Him through His son. the Bible is clear what we must do to be saved:

  1. Hear the Word of God (John 6:45)
  2. Believe that Jesus is the Son of God (John 8:24)
  3. Repent from your sins (Acts 17:30)
  4. Confess that Jesus is Lord (Romans 10:9-10)
  5. Baptized for the Remission of Sins (Acts 2:38)
